Revell Star Wars ARC-170 Starfighter Kit 1855 Model review

Instructions and Reference Pictures are available

After working on the Pre-Paint X-wing with my son I thought more about this kit. I am not a big fan of painting the model, but I love building and weathering the most. So I have been eye balling this kit for a while, and they had a local sale of 60% off and I had the cash in my pocket so I picked it up. This is a cool looking model I like the X-wingish style of it, and it just looks fun to weather.

Open Box Review
I think I will detail the cockpit though. It looks rather plan and with no detail. Since the canopy is so open and large they are easily visible. I will probably use some decals from my Revell Viper cit for some detail like scanner, and I will use some styrene sheets to make bits and texture, then prime it gray and paint a little color and detail in there, it should look a lot better. I might take some wire and make it look like hoses and things like that. For the exterior I will gloss coat and do some panel lines to make the detail stand out. Then do a flat coat and start with some pastel chalk to weather it. I might use my airbrush to do of the burn and dirt marks.
