Polar Lights Star Trek 1/350 Klingon D7 Battlerusier
Kit# 4202

Instructions and Reference Pictures are available
Again I picked up another clearance sale model at hobby lobby. I was poking around and I saw this model in an End cap clearance for about 5 bucks. I wish I had picked up two now. But I am happy with this one.
Open Box Review
I was a bit disappointed the model really has no detail on it. So I started looking at reference shots and screen shots for the TV show. Well the studio model has no detail as well. The more I looked the more I notice Polar Lights did a great job of making their model look like the TV show model. Once I realized that The model has become fun to work on.
Spure Shots

Planning
No real planning on this model. I just wanted to make it look like the box art. I am debating about the chrome parts. Not sure what they are suppose to be.

Things I have learned from this kit so far.
Hand brushing large smooth areas is hard and not fun at all. Especially when using craft paint
Work In progress Shots
Lost interest in this kit. Now that I have an airbrush it might get revisited as soon as my current model is done. Wish I had picked up a second one, it might be fun to light. |
