Fine Molds 1/72 Y-Wing Fighter
(http://finemolds.co.jp/)

Instructions and Reference Pictures are available
I have always loved the Y-wing it has been my favorite ship from Star Wars. Not just the movies but all the game. It is just looks like a work horse, it is so ugly its cool. I love all the bits and pipes all over it. I always looked for the old AMT model but it was very hard to find when you did it was very expensive. I almost got one off if E-bay but I am glad I was out bid. A week later I found out fine molds was releasing their version and boy was it worth the wait.
Open Box Review
I though the model would be a little bigger because of all the detail. But somehow they manage to pack all this detail this model. It is a very awesome kit. I do plan on getting a few other fine molds kits because of the detail (I am thinking of the X-wing). I plan on building the kit except for the canopy due to needing to paint the interior and the pilot. I will do a flat grayish/white, and then a ton of weathering. I am a bit concerned about all the bits and painting them, the piping should not be that hard with a copper paint and a good dark wash to dirty them up. The withering will be mostly done with pastel chalks, I might try a bit of air brush wreathing but I am not sure yet.
