AMT Star Trek Klingon Bird of Prey Kit 38389 Model review Box art

Instructions and Reference Pictures are available

I have always wanted to build a bird of prey. Then one day I got a 50 dollar gift card to Amazon.com, so I picked up a Bird of Prey, Millennium Falcon, and a Battle Droid. I gave just a bit over $50 to get all three models with shipping. The Bird and Falcon have been two models I have always wanted but never had the cash and availability of kits at the same time. Well that has changed now.

Open Box Review
As soon as the kit came in I open the box to see all the little goodies. I did break the bag open due to I am not building it yet, but the kit looks to have a lot of detail. Looks like there will be a need to do a lot of masking as I plan to paint the “feathers” a few random colors. I will follow the color suggestions pretty close, but I will do a dark wash to tone down the colors a bit. The “metal” parts I will do with a rusty color to show wear and tear. I plan on this being a bird that has been in service to the empire for a long time. Not sure if I will do any battle damage. If I do it will be scorch marks, as I do not want to heavy battle damage to it. This looks like a very fun model to do.
